Stepping Out

March 29, 2011

I’ve managed to keep a vast majority of the ticket stubs I’ve received over the last 20 years. As you may have already noticed if you’re reading this blog, I’m an obsessive collector. Ticket stubs have one great advantage: they fit into a very small box. Keeping them doesn’t take up that much space.

Below is a fairly exhaustive list of the events I’ve attended from age 18 to 41. Hardly complete, though. Several dozen of the stubs I have are now unreadable, so I can’t collect dates. In some cases, I can’t even be sure of the event listed on them (which “Star Wars” movie was showing that day)?

Also missing is about 2-3 dozen movies I probably don’t have stubs for, at least a dozen (or more) comics conventions, and about 3 Leafs games.

Before 4Square, you had to collate these things manually if you wanted a record. This took a lot of typing.

If it’s listed twice, I saw it twice. Concerts and conventions are listed with venues, films just by date. If it has “??” beside it, it means I’m not sure which part of a film series it is.
